Cheboygan High School Chiefs Hockey
This is the 14th season for Cheboygan Chiefs hockey. The team's inaugural season was 1999-2000. The Chiefs play in the Northern Michigan Hockey League and are a Division III school of the Michigan
High School Athletic Association. The Chiefs are the defending MHSAA Regional Champions and the defending Northern Michigan Hockey League Champions.
The Chiefs Head Coach is Craig Coxe, now in his 2nd year. Craig is a veteren Coach at multiple levels form youth hockey to Minor pro hockey. Coach Coxe is a former NHL player and played for the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues and the San Jose Sharks. Coach Tom Smith returns for his fourth year as Assistant Coach and Strength and Conditioning Trainer for the Chiefs.

Bay Area Reps 4 Chiefs 0
Zach Hill led the Reps with a hat trick in a 4-0 win. Brennan Wachter was in goal for the Chiefs and fought off a lot of pressure as the Reps out shot the Chiefs 38-25 for the game.
Gaylord 6 Chiefs 3
The Chiefs fell to the Blue Devils 6-3 in Cheboygan Monday Night. The Chiefs went up 2-1 after the first period with goals from John Garst and DJ Sayers unassisted. Gaylord came out strong in the 2nd period to take a 4-2 lead after two, Gaylord scored early in the 3rd period to go up 5-2. Senior Sam Charboneau cut the lead to 5-3 with about 4 minutes to play wiith assists from Parker Beauchamp and Nate Stempky. Gaylord scored an empty net goal to make it a 6-3 final.
Alpena 8 Chiefs 1
The Chiefs fell to the Alpena Wildcats 8-1 Wednesday Night. Austin Christie scored the lone goal for the Chiefs unassisted. The Chiefs honored five Seniors on Senior night. Sam Charboneau, John Garst, Brennan Wachter, Stan Swiderek and Nicklas Watson stoled the show for the Chiefs!
Chiefs 5 Macomb L'anse Creuse North 2
The Chiefs rolled to a 5-2 victory over L'anse Creuse North in the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase in Chelsea Saturday afternoon. The Chiefs go back over 500 at 11-10-1.
Chiefs 3 Utica HS 3 in 1OT
The Chiefs skated to a 3-3 OT tie against Utica High School in the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase in Chelsea Friday Night. The Chiefs play at 4:15 Saturday against Macomb L'anse Creuse North HS in Chelsea. The Chiefs are now a perfect .500,10-10-1 for the year.
The Chiefs draw a bye for the Pre-Regional in Cheboygan! Petoskey and the Sault play Monday February 25, 2013 at 7;00 pm in Cheboygan. The Chiefs play the Winner of the Petoskey/Sault game Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at Ralph G. Cantile Arena!

The Chiefs came out of Petoskey with a surprising 9-3 loss to the Northmen. The Chiefs played sluggish right from the start. They were down 3-0 after 1 period, and 8-1 after 2 periods. Adam Jeannotte, Josh Stempky and Austin Christie scored goals for the Chiefs.
